David Harris is an Emmy Award-winning comedian and actor who has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years. He regularly performs at top clubs, theaters, colleges, and corporate events across the U.S. and Canada, including the New York Comedy Club, the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Goodnight’s Comedy Club in Raleigh, and the Hollywood Improv Lab in Los Angeles. David has worked with acclaimed comedians like Louie Anderson, Cathy Ladman, Beth Stelling, Amir K, and his 2021 clean comedy special on Dry Bar Comedy has racked up 230,000 views.
David has performed at Minnesota’s 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival three times, as well as the Colorado Springs Comedy Festival, the Fargo Comedy Festival, and the Loons on the Lake Comedy Festival. David is loved by audiences far and wide for his self-deprecating, painfully relatable takes on family, relationships, and the inescapable anxieties that come with living in today’s world, and loves to interact with his audiences to make each show completely unique.
On-screen, David has won two regional Emmys for his sketch television show “Nate on Drums,” and has since starred in several award-winning online videos and TV commercials, including recent spots for Slumberland, Robert Half and Panchero’s Mexican Grill. In addition to his on-stage comedy work, David is also a talented magician, having performed highly entertaining comedic magic for 15 years before focusing solely on comedy. No matter the audience, David will dig into his most neurotic, embarrassing stories to make people laugh.
David started performing standup comedy approximately 16 years ago, following his 15-year stint as a comedy-magician. As he got older, he truly wanted to learn how to do standup comedy and not just have a few jokes in his magic act. So, he began writing, performing, and workshopping bits in local clubs with some of the best in the business. David has since earned the respect of fellow comics, audiences, and press alike for his quick wit and original material.
David started acting as a child and hasn’t really stopped. He’s done it all: films, award winning tv and web commercials, a regionally Emmy winning sketch TV show, tons of live event hosting, and even a play.
David’s first love was magic. After winning a local talent contest, he started, like most magicians, by performing at kids parties when he was just 13 years old. That quickly led to entertaining adults at bars and corporate events, which he much preferred. Since then, David’s successfully entertained with comedy and magic at thousands of corporate meetings and events, colleges, theaters, and venues of every kind throughout the U.S. and Canada. Although David’s preference these days is doing standup comedy, if you ask nicely, he might do a trick for you - especially if you have a wallet.
